According to USA Today, only 5 to 10% of users actually leave reviews after making a purchase. Most reviewers are either those who absolutely love or hate the experience, or those who are emotionally attached, positively or negatively.
Chances are, you’ve also read reviews in the past before making a decision, whether it’s for planning a trip or making a certain purchase.
But what if you could actually get paid to write reviews instead of just reading them? That’s the focus of this blog post.
Today, I’m sharing 9 legit and top sites where you can get paid to write reviews. These methods can pay you dollars in either cash or free products.

1. G2 Crowd
The first way you can potentially write reviews and get paid is to use a website called G2 Crowd or G2.
G2 is a popular software review website that helps people decide which software is best for them. It has thousands of reviews for consumer and B2B software alike.
The team at G2 is pretty clever, and they realize that getting people who have used software to write reviews for them is a really great way to create valuable content and to rank on Google.
So, what G2 does is, It often emails its members and says, “Hey, if you’ve used this certain piece of software, we’ll pay you with a free Amazon gift card if you write a short review for us. So, one who write review about that product they pay the person for writing review.
If you work in marketing, accounting, HR, or any kind of field that uses a lot of software, then consider signing up for G2. And, get the taste of how it works.

2. ReviewStream
ReviewStream can be a way to earn money by writing reviews, but there are some important details to consider before investing too much time in it.
Here’s what I found:
Joining ReviewStream seems possible for most countries, but the website layout can be confusing. You’ll need to find the “sell content” section, which may not always be easy to locate.
Once you choose a category, you can select a template for your review. However, the website lacks clarity on requirements like word count or approval process, making it challenging to know what’s expected.
Additionally, ReviewStream offers an earning method through unanswered questions, but again, details on what constitutes a helpful reply are vague.
Payout Method: ReviewStream pays through PayPal, using the email you provided during content submission. However, their payout system is unusual you need to earn ten times the amount of your first sale to reach the minimum payout, which can be confusing and may result in writing a lot without a clear guarantee of payment.
3. Amazon Vine Member
Another way, you can make money writing reviews is to become an Amazon Vine member. Amazon Vine is an invite-only programme where reviewers get free products for their honest feedback.
This is a programme where you can get free merchandise for reviewing it on Amazon. It’s by far one of the coolest ways to make money with Amazon-related product reviews.
The reason brands give out free products to Amazon Vine reviewers is because they want feedback in reviews so they can rank on Amazon and improve their products.
The main downside of this programme is that it’s invitation-only.
So, from what we’ve researched and heard, the best way to get invited to Amazon Vine is just to write reviews regularly.
If you shop on Amazon, get in the habit of writing reviews, taking photos, being objective, and giving a lot of information and value in your reviews, and Amazon might pick you to become a Vine member.
4. Slice The Pie
Although Slice the Pie considers itself one of the largest paid review sites, let’s explore how true this claim is.
Slice the Pie is an online platform where you can earn money by reviewing songs. The company claims to pay between $0.01 and $0.20 per review, with a minimum withdrawal limit of $10.
To sign up:
- Simply visit sliceofthepie.com and fill out the basic form.
- You’ll receive an email to confirm and then log in.
There are four categories to choose from: kids, music, fashion, and a lucky dip. You are free to choose any category you like.
Your feedback or review helps the company improve its products and appeal to the right audience. Here are some quick steps for your first review, then:
- Set the right price point,
- Rate the product from 0 to 10, and
- Answer a few questions.
- Once you submit your review, you’ll earn money.
It may not be much at first, but it adds up over time.
5. Start a Review Blog
In my opinion, the most profitable method for earning money through writing reviews is by launching a review blog.
If you establish yourself as a successful niche review blogger, you have the potential to earn thousands of dollars monthly. Believe me, this is the most effective way to earn money, but it’s crucial to plan carefully to succeed in this.
Read this: How to Start Writing a Blog Without a Website.
This idea is by far my favourite, and it’s an idea that has made us tens or hundreds of thousands of dollars because it’s what we do a lot of the time on our websites.
The whole idea here is to write reviews about a certain niche of products or services.
Once you create a review and funnel traffic to it, you can make money through affiliate marketing, display ads, or both.
Some people make a lot more money, but I think for most people, it will take you at least months, maybe a year or two, to grow a niche review site into a meaningful brand and income source.
But again, you can do this for pretty much any kind of niche, and it works really well with product-based ones as well. The only key is being consistent and creating valuable content.
6. SwagBucks
In our view, Swagbucks is no doubt an easy-to-start side hustle online that pays you not just for reviews or surveys but also for shopping, discovering, watching, and even playing games. While it was once considered low-paying, recent revelations have uncovered its more profitable side.
By exploring the “Discover” tab, users can find high-paying offers, such as signing up for bank accounts or driving for UberEats, which can earn them significant rewards.
Swagbucks is able to offer these high bonuses due to its size and special contracts with companies.
Users can easily cash out their earnings to PayPal or choose from a variety of gift cards. With the potential to earn over $500 in a day, Swagbucks presents an enticing opportunity for those looking to make money online.
7. Become a Product Tester
It might surprise you, but there are actually plenty of companies out there that are willing to give away free samples or even just free products to people in exchange for their opinions, kind of like Amazon Vine.
Product Review Jobs is one option you can use if you live in the United States. It just pays you with physical products and cash for reviewing products. Companies sign up for that platform, they send products to its members, and you usually get paid about $25 per review, but you often get to keep the merchandise that you’re reviewing and testing, which is pretty cool.
Here are more similar websites:
- Try Products – Available in the United States.
- Pinch Me – It actually pays you with free samples just for giving your feedback.
8. American Consumer Opinion (ACOP)
American Consumer Opinion (ACOP) can be a great way to earn free money, especially if you live in the US, UK, Canada, France, or Germany. However, if you live in other countries, the opportunities may be limited, and it might not be worth your time.
ACOP offers paid surveys as its main earning method, and you can also participate in other research projects like focus groups. You earn points for completing surveys, and once you reach a minimum of 1,000 points, you can redeem them for cash via PayPal or HyperWallet.
However, it can take 8 to 12 weeks to receive your payment after cashing out, which is a long wait.
Another option is to use your points for sweepstakes entries, but there’s no guarantee of winning. Overall, ACOP is a legitimate survey site that pays, but it’s not a way to earn a lot of money.
9. Start Freelance Writing
Become a freelance writer and get paid to write review. This idea is similar to starting a niche product review blog yourself. It’s a lot faster route to income, and it can be extremely lucrative.
Companies out there are willing to pay talented freelance writers to create review content about a bunch of different niches. This is one way we’re still making money today.
Many people believe that there is no more money in freelance writing because of the abrupt rise of ChatGPT and AI writing tools, but I vehemently disagree.
Run-of-the-mill content is definitely on the way out, but if you’re a niche expert or authority in a space, brands want to hear from you, and will even pay you for your reviews and perspectives.
Again, you can do this for so many niches. We do it in personal finance, but you can do it in travel, food, tech, consumer products, consumer goods. There are so many different niches out there where commercialized content, review content, holds significance.
Alright, let’s say you’ve started in a niche. But becoming a freelance writer isn’t a piece of cake, and many people throw in the towel before they even get started. That’s why I’ll share 3 ways to help you progress in this field.
- You need to maintain a strong social media presence. Your LinkedIn account will be your first impression, showing how professional you are in this field.
- You should stay active on every freelance platform like Fiverr, Upwork, isithara, and other freelancing sites.
- Third, as soon as possible, start a review website where you write reviews on various things.
Pro Tips: Our advice if you want to get into this then actually start a blog, so you can use it as a portfolio piece and then pitch these larger publications to start writing for them.
Are Get paid for writing reviews websites legitimate?
We can’t guarantee that every review website is legitimate and will pay you, but the sites we’ve mentioned here are all reputable and will compensate you for your reviews.
Some websites will pay you in cash, while others will offer you free products or merchandise, which is known as the barter system.
Can I write reviews for products or services I haven’t tried?
It’s generally recommended to only write reviews for products or services you have personally tried to provide an honest and authentic review.
If you write a fake review about something, there’s a high chance you won’t be able to share an actual experience about it. This could prove that either you’re a fake reviewer writing reviews just to earn money, which could lead to your account being suspended.
Final Words on Get Paid to Write Review Sites
That wraps up our 9 favorite ways to get paid to write reviews. Honestly, I think the best way to make the most money with this kind of commercial content is to start a blog or become a freelance writer, like I mentioned.
But you can also create content on platforms that aren’t blogs. I mean, you could create a product-focused YouTube channel. You could create product-focused theme pages on TikTok or Instagram.
There are so many ways to make money with review content, and review content is so lucrative because it’s so close to making a consumer purchase or not. If you want something a little bit quicker, again, stick with G2, stick with some of the review websites out there, or product testing gigs.
